Experience Classical Indian Music and some of its Bay Area Offshoots with
Sangita Moskow, Sarod Thomas Niggli, Sitar
Sangita studied 18 years with Ali Akbar Khan, experiencing his classes of live composition that have inspired her own personal compositions and explorations relative to life in this creative multi-cultural Bay Area environment.
Thomas, born in Switzerland, studied sitar and classical Indian music in Benares and Delhi. His musical education was a traditional classical one, and he also integrates his sitar playing into western musical styles.
Sangita and Thomas will perform at the Back Room on
July 24th, a Sunday 4-6pm.
