Since its inception, one mission of the San Diego based quartet, Miscellaneous Debris, has been to provide an atmosphere conductive to the development of creative music. Our goals are to push the boundaries of non-notated as well as notated music making, stay in active dialogue with other creative musicians and their music, and to conduct free training for disadvantaged city youth.
Miscellaneous Debris is an ensemble that utilizes textures from the extremes of silence to noise; from Norwegian folk-song inspirations to post-punk-ideological textures.
