Houston, Texas doublebassist Thomas Helton performs solo improvisations. On tour of the west coast,Thomas is supporting his debut CD "Doublebass".

SF Bay Area saxophonist Phillip Greenlief will perform a set that features original works and compositions that were composed for him by Pauline Oliveros, Roscoe Mitchell, and Joelle Leandre. He is also currently
developing his "deconstruction meditations", which involve an improvisatory "cut up" approach to the music of Anthony Braxton, Igor Stravinsky and
Thelonious Monk. Greenlief performs this music with intense passion, intellectual acuity and an ear for the continuing development of the saxophone's language.
