Violinist Gunda Gottschalk presents WATERMOONS, a solo concert featuring cascading sounds, strings, voice, and noise inspired by the moon's mulitiple reflections on a surface of water. Ms. Gottschalk was classically trained at the Cologne Conservatory and now lives in Wuppertal, Germany. She plays improvised music for the theater, dance, and in radio plays, and collaborates with composers, visual artists, and poets. Her recent duo CD "E Pericoloso Spogersi" with the Belgian bassist Peter Jacquemyn received an award by the German Association of New Music and the Ensemble Modern in Frankfurt. Her festival appearances include: Taktlos and Uncool (both in Switzerland), Human Noise (Germany), Nievw Music (Belgium), and Fruits de Mhere (France). She has toured throughout Europe and China.
