YBCA presents Command Performance: Brian Freeman, Joan Jeanrenaud, LINES Ballet and Youth Speaks

Featuring the World Premiere of Miya Masaoka's While I was walking, I heard a sound…

The world premiere of Miya Masaoka's While I was walking, I heard a sound… headlines a special event celebrating YBCA's Wattis Artist-in-Residence program, featuring performances by longtime community partners and former artists-in-residence.

The choral singers will be positioned throughout the Theater to create a human "surround sound" system, and the Sound Color Ensemble, a group of nine avant-garde vocal specialists, sing from the Theater balcony. The Sound Color Ensemble consists of vocalists Tina Osinski, Gary Ruschman, Richard Mix, Cheryl Keller, Ann Hege, Dina Emerson, Michael Edo Keane, Amy X Neburg and former Wattis Artist-in-Residence Randall Wong.

Cost: $25
