This is the first of six different forums dedicated to listening at the Exploratorium. Future events, exploring everything from auditory tricks and illusions to the human voice, will run monthly between April and September 2004. Today’s special workshop introduces Pauline Oliveros’ practice of Deep Listening®, which involves heightened awareness of and active engagement with the sounds that surround us — in this case, the sounds within the Exploratorium.
