German composers Boris Baltschun (sampler) + Serge
Baghdassarians (guitar, mixing desk) strategize as
improvisers in the duo SHEVADNAZE. Boris Baltschun studied
composition and electronic music at the Institute for
Sonology in The Hague with Klarenz Barlow, Richard Barrett,
and Joel Ryan. He has worked with musicians Günter
Christmann, Conny Bauer, and Wolfgang Fuchs, and has
performed in festivals such as Sonic Acts (Amsterdam) and
UltraSchall (Berlin). Serge Baghdassarians studied classical
guitar in Bremen, specializing in both composed and
improvised forms of expression. As a performer, he has toured
Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, and Poland. He
currently lives as a free-lance musician in Berlin.
