Serving the San Francisco Bay Area New Music Community

Thu, Oct 28 2004 8:00 PM

An evening of improvised electro-acoustic music: the headlining trio includes two Oakland musicians, Liz Allbee (trumpet/electronics) and George Cremaschi (contrabass/electronics) with New Yorker Fritz Welch (percussion/electronics).

Opening up will be a reunion of sorts for Signwave, the longstanding electronic collaboration of Vance Galloway (Seattle) and Bob Boster (Vallejo). Signwave was first formed in the mid-nineties when these two came together to sequence and master a compilation CD for the Knitting Factory label and discovered a special rapport for mixing recognizable sound sources with intensely abstract sounds and powerful transformative effects. This event marks the first Signwave show of this century!

Cost: $6-10
