Night 2 of the Y2K5 International Looping Festival, featuring a set by Swiss guitarist Phil Zurrigo and a trio between festival founder Rick Walker,
Matt Davignon and (to be confirmed) LX Rudis
Phil Zurrigo describes his music as "dance music for extra-terrestrials with an odd number of legs - or, jazzy improvisations based on the principles of abstract or systematic pieces by composers of the 20th century - i. e. the tonal language of olivier messiaen, used in the way an oriental storyteller would do..."

Rick Walker has been a performing percussionist for over 25 years, a hub for the Northern California "Looping" scene since the mid 90s. Using multiple real-time sampling devices and an extensive array of junk, world instruments and inventions, he can create improvised, multi-layered "songs" before your eyes.
