A blend of Bolivian, Afro-Peruvian, and Flamenco music and dance
In celebration of Latin Heritage Month, Soul del Arte presents an evening of music and dance featuring a blend of Bolivian, Afro-Peruvian, and Flamenco traditions by master Bolivian composer, flutist, and guitarist Oscar Reynolds with legendary flamenco guitarist Chuscales from Spain and South American masters Lalo Izquierdo, Fernando Sanjinez 13, Santiago "Coco" Linares, and José Luis Reynolds. This concert also celebrates Río de Luz, Oscar Reynolds' highly acclaimed new CD.
Traditional dances come to life with the special participation of international flamenco dancer Mina Shibata Valle Fajardo, who performs for the first time in the Bay Area, local Afro-Peruvian dancers, and Bolivian dancers from the group Renacer Folklorico Bolivia.
