Marc Elzweig and Michael Perlmutter will explore the timbral and idiomatic ranges of the saxophone and clarinet through a range of pieces spanning jazz, Bulgarian folk music, new music, and free improvisation. They will be joined by three musicians who should be heard in their own right: Liam Staskawicz on trombone, Star Holder on French Horn, and Jesse Olsen on drums.
Lower Case Curry: MaryClare Brzytwa's sonic flute ribbons laced thru cold analogue corridors and sandwiched between guitar gods new and old. Mike Sopko's caffeine facilitated fingers of steel stretch the length of Cleveland to Oakland while Noah Phillip's rugged jungles of prepared ecstasy quilt an infinite thread count of auditory cozy. The smoke pouring from their ears is not just the pot - this trio is hot.
