Stephen Flinn has been a professional musician for over twenty years, and has performed throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan. As well as being an accomplished drummer and percussionist, he works with unusual sound sources including found objects and items not normally used musically. He lives in San Francisco and spends his time teaching, performing, and writing.

Zone's earliest musical memory is that of his father singing Swedish hymns to him as an infant. He began his formal
music training on the piano at the age of 5, cello at age 7, and the guitar at age 12. He received his Bachelor of Music degree in cello and guitar performance from the University of
the Pacific’s Conservatory of Music and a M.A. degree from UCSD. He also studied cello at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland with Arto Noras (2nd prize, 1966 Tchaikovsky
Competition and protégé of Paul Tortelier).

John Vaughn is a founding member of C.O.M.A. He is currently involved in a recording project with C.O.M.A. and playing with as many creative people as possible. He has performed in groups ranging from concert and jazz bands, pit orchestras to improvisational groups of all types. He is often playing in Sacramento with the Gambari Arts Ensemble led by Adam Jenkins or at Old Ironsides with Ross Hammond and Tony Passerell. John is focused on making the central Valley of California into a friendly place for improvising and experimental musicians.
