samo-wilmo-tek presents Bay Area electronic artists
K. Atchley will premiere a new assisted-installation that features interactive
video & electronic sound, & a performance by the composer. The untitled work
is described as "an observance of the sunset on the occasion of Samuel
Beckett's centenary birthday."
Tim Perkis will premiere a new solo work "absolute."
John Bischoff will perform PIANO 7HZ, featuring contact-mic-driven
sample fragments, & LOCAL COLOR, which constructs synthetic bell
patterns complemented by pure-tone drones.
Tim Perkis &
John Bischoff will generate the latest installment of their
sublime improvisational duo.
Kattt Sammon will present her electronic piece “Desire”, “Lullaby” (song
duet with K. Atchley), & premiere an “Influctuatistic” work (under the guidance
of Guillermo Galindo) that uses voice, press ‘n seal, re-figured plastic coke bottle,
contact & dynamic microphones.
