On October 27th, 2006 My dance Mentor will turn 100
years old. To commute this, San Francisco based
Japanese artist Monichi Fumi will organize a new art
event at SF’s Ocean Beach (Great high way @ Lincoln
ave.). On this special day, she will make 7 giant,
fire figures in a ritualistic manner to represent,
burned past and calling of new life. Accompanying her,
the world premier, “Electronic Drumming Orchestra “.
Playing only electronic instruments, the challenge
is to harmonize electronic with Mother Nature. The
nature of this experimental performance is to
experience the “heartbeat of nature” with the “man
made beat” in front of “Fire ife energy “ and
“Ocean anet water “,
This strong flavored simple ritual event comes from
pure, strong, respect spirits to the Mentor.
