Pianist Davide Verotta performs an exciting selection of 19th-21st centuries piano solo works. Ludwig van Beethoven piano sonata masterpiece: Op 81a, Das Lebewohl (1809-1810); Claude Debussy ground breaking Preludes Books I-II (selections, 1912-14); one of the last piano works of Giacinto Scelsi: Four Illustrations (1953) a tour-de-force depicting four different incarnations of Vishnu; experimental works from Patrice Fouillaud, Comme un parfum de Mures Sauvages (1993), and Nicolo' Castiglioni, Preludio, Corale e Fuga (1994); and his own Surprise (Davide Verotta, 2007).
The concert will be repeatead April 8th 4pm at the Piedmont Piano Company Fazioli Hall 660 Third St. San Francisco; and Fri April 13th 8pm Berkeley Piano Club 2742 Haste St. Berkeley ($8/$5)
