Three Pieces will showcase performances by Axiomatic Integration
(Hamburg) and Gradcom (Hamburg) on July 24th, with two intimate solo
live in-house sets.
Gradcom acts similar to an acoustic microscope: fragments of acoustic
sources, be they instruments or any other vibrating object, are
stretched and distorted, low frequency drones raise up to a
physically menacing substance. Live, GradCom strictly limits to using
locally found musical instruments or an acoustical equivalent, no
other sound sources are used. http://www.gradcom.org
Axiomatic Integration is Kera Nagel, a digital video artist and
musician who emerged from the sound-art scene of Hamburg, in which
she is an active part of the Hoerbar for several years. Alongside her
"regular" gigs as Axiomatic Integration, Kera has gained notoriety
for improvised music, be it on tour with at the AudioUnit concerts in
Hamburg, improvising together with Tetuzi Akiyama, Rhodri Davies,
Nishikawa Bunsho, Fear Falls Burning, and others. http://

Visual works by Zoe Crosher (LA) and S.T.O.P. (Rotterdam) will be
presented as well. Three Pieces is a quarterly studio presentation
of three new pieces of sound, image or movement from local and
visiting artists.
