ANDREA PARKINS is a New York-based sound artist, composer and electro-multi-instrumentalist known for her dynamic timbral explorations on the electric accordion and inventive use of live sound processing. She will perform a solo audio work built from sonic materials that (in part) document the specificity of objects--collected, invented or implicated--as they are set into awkward motion and ultimately come to stasis. Through the artist's "structural interventions" and use of generative processing, multiple chains of audio events will arrive at an indeterminate sonic outcome.
