Serving the San Francisco Bay Area New Music Community

Techno.Rising @ MIGHTY
119 Utah Street, San Francisco 94103

JASON LEACH, who in 1995 cofounded the legendary underground techno outfit, SUBHEAD, arrives in San Francisco for his first-ever west coast performance. Jason was infamous before famous, due to the extraordinary 'Growth' parties he promoted in London's Shoreditch slums, which gave the likes of Claude Young, Jamie Lidell, and Si Begg their first audiences. This pushed Hackney into the techno vernacular (and to Jason's disappointment, its date with commercial gentrification). He has since relocated to the far more credible city of Scarborough.

For this North American exclusive, Jason has written one of the signature live sets that have gained him his reputation as perhaps the most innovative producer working at the hard edge of dance music today.

Joining him for an orgy of live electronics are the Bay Area's two most compelling hardware acts: PONGOID (freetekno pioneer of the notorious SPAZ soundsystem collective), and EATS TAPES (local fixtures Marijke Jorritsma and Gregory Zifcak, just back from a blistering European tour and Berlin residency).

Also on offer is a live laptop set by FOREST GREEN, who unleashes her CUTE THINGS WITH FANGS project after more than a decade of establishing herself as San Francisco's most dependable techno dj, keeping the flavor alive in this house-heavy region.

Rounding it out is MOSONIK, with a curated set of underground techno vinyl from around the world.

This party is a one-off. Miss it and you've missed it. For full details, go to AUDIOSECT.org
