Devin Hoff writes songs and plays the double bass and bass guitar. He'll kick off the evening with a solo performance, and then will be joined for the second set by pianist Kito Gamble and drummer Geechi Taylor.
Devin has worked with musicians such as Carla Bozulich, Ben Goldberg, Odessa Chen, John Dieterich, Jewlia Eisenberg, Howard Wiley, Steven Bernstein, Carla Kihlstedt, Tony Malaby, Julian Lage, Ron Miles, Mary Halvorson and Jessica Pavone. Devin has played on hundreds of recordings and performed at thousands of shows throughout the world. His influences include Ornette Coleman, Carter Family, Munir Bashir, Joao Gilberto, Lightning Hopkins, Ramones, Black Sabbath, Joelle Leandre, Paul Chambers, Charles Mingus, Gillian Welch, Cocteau Twins, Bikini Kill, Woody Guthrie, Hank Williams, Bela Bartok, Thelonious Monk and Oum Kolthoum.
