Thomas Dimuzio,
Ava Mendoza, and
Dominique Leone team up on Monday, 1/4 at 8:15 AM for some live performances on
Prem's program at
KUSF to preview their upcoming show at
Cafe du Nord on Wednesday, 1/13.
At
Cafe du Nord,
Thomas Dimuzio (electronics, live sampling) and
Ava Mendoza (electric guitar) will join percussionist
Scott Amendola (of Nels Cline Singers and many other groups) and bassist Jon Evans in an improvisational quartet, and
Dominique Leone's big band will open the show with some artsily poppy avant-garde rock.
On Monday morning at KUSF,
Thomas Dimuzio will perform on keyboards and live processing, routing the output of the live performance from the mixer to his samplers then back into the live mix.
Ava Mendoza will perform on electric guitar (in its many shapes and forms).
Dominique Leone will perform on synths and vocals.
The ((Live in Studio B)) performance/interview will begin at 8:15 AM and conclude at 9:00, and will likely feature a solo performance from each of the three musicians as well as a group improvisation.
Tune in if you can handle it, either on air at 90.3 FM in the SF Bay Area or online at
live365.com elsewhere.
