On Sunday, April 4, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music will host The Hot Air Music Festival, beginning at 2 PM and continuing (almost) non-stop through 10 PM. The event is entirely student-run, having been organized by Matthew Cmiel (B.M. in Composition, 2011), Andrew Meyerson (M.M. in Percussion, 2010), and Carolyn Smith (M M. Guitar, 2010). Performers will include students, alumni, and faculty of the Conservatory and will include two professional groups with Conservatory "roots," the bass clarinet duo Sqwonk and the Picasso String Quartet.
