Meridian Music presents a night of immersive shimmering drone and sci-fi collage with Joe Hammer, John Krausbauer, and Brandon Nickell, Saturday, June 30th, 8pm.

Since 1980 Joseph Hammer has operated in a plethora of under-the-radar units such as Dinosaurs With Horns, Joe & Joe, and Points of Friction. With a plunderphonic, Cagean appreciation for the infinite textures of AM radio and "mid century sci fi" Hammer weaves arrestingly hypnotic and experimental 3D collages.

John Krausbauer is a composer/improvisor, who lives and works in San Francisco. He has performed in various contexts/groups and in a multitude of performance spaces/settings/situations for the last 15 years. Recordings of his work have been released by numerous independent recording labels.

Brandon Nickell (b. 1981 Oakland, California) currently resides and
operates the Isounderscore record label in San Francisco’s Mission
District where he also records and performs uncompromising noise,
experimental, and electronic music. Nickell has recorded under the
computer-based electronic music and noise Aemae project since 2002,
now recording and performing under his own name, Nickell released the
critically-acclaimed full-length album “And If You Set This Mind Of
Mine Afire Then On My Bloodstream I Yet Will Carry You” in 2010 as
well as "The World Is A Refuge From Perfection" in the spring of 2011
on Monorail Trespassing in Los Angeles. He has an LP coming out on
Oakland electronic music label Tundra later this Fall as well as a
forthcoming release on Jeff Witscher's (Rene Hell) Agents of Chaos.
