Moe! Staiano will release his second album (via Rastascan/Amanita Records of France) of his large revolving orchestra project, Moe!kestra!. The CD will feature two scored compositions for large orchestra including Piece No.7: An Inescapable Siren Within Earshot Distance Therein and Other Whereabouts (for strings, percussion, E-stringed guitars, u-bolts, wine glasses and sirens), which will be performed at this show.

Echo de Pensees Sound Series & The Museum Of Viral Memory present live performances by Conure & Wobbly at PLAySPACE Gallery. The event is free. Sound artist Conure (Mark Wilson, also of 15 Degrees Below Zero) creates complex and original works of electronic manipulation full of rich textures and fine details that don't fall into an easy category. Composer, DJ and remixer, Wobbly reconfigures and re-imagines popular music. With 17 years of pop culture-jamming, five CDs (two on Tigerbeat6) and innumerable collaborations behind him, Wobbly is an important contributor to the electronic and composed music scenes in San Francisco. He is a founding member of local audio-video group Sagan.

Bay Area saxophonist and Dagny's favorite Phillip Greenlief returns to Bakersfield in a duo project with live electronics wizard Tim Perkis in a project they have dubbed Circuit Biscuit. These two musicians represent a significant slice of Bay Area improvised music history. Perkis is a founding member of the now legendary pioneering electronic music ensemble The Hub, and Greenlief is an award-winning saxophonist who has been on the west coast new music scene since the late 1970's as a tireless performer and concert promoter. Together they explore a sound world where anything can happen and usually does.
