In a coproduction with The Lab and Audium, the SF Electronic Music Festival presents four nights of live electronic performances featuring a diverse cadre of internationally renowned and emerging creators. The work ranges from explorations of brainwaves, intricate piano etudes with an electronic twist, and late-night SF-inspired musique concrète to enhanced human bodies as extended instruments.

On Saturday, September 21st, SFEMF presents Julie Herndon's intimate and heartbreakingly beautiful Electronic Etudes (Songs for Two Hands) for acoustic piano and live electronic processing where the real and imagined are blurred together. Herndon is followed by Sholeh Asgary, an Iranian-born artist who explores translocal and transtemporal conditions through her future mythological excavations in movement, light, imaging, voice, and sound. Saturday concludes with Palermo-born and Munich resident Valerio Tricoli who will play his piece A Dice Game, interweaving recordings, analog synthesis, tape manipulations, and digital processing to create a stunning composition of intricate, ever-evolving textures.
