I don't really like writing these announcements, so I asked
ChatGPT to write one for me. It gave the assignment its
best try. All I provided was venue information and the
names of the performers. It's a little overexcited, but
I didn't have to write it:

Tom Djll (trumpet, electronics) brings a world of sonic textures and unorthodox techniques to his improvisational practice, fusing brass with electronics to create rich, evolving soundscapes.
Ron Heglin (trombone, voice) is a virtuoso of extended vocal techniques and low brass, known for blending melody with abstract textures to expand the language of improvisation.
Suki O'Kane (percussion, electronics) is a multidisciplinary artist whose deep rhythmic intuition and exploratory spirit have made her a dynamic force in the Bay Areaβs experimental music scene.
Opening Set by
John BischoffA pioneer in live electronic music and computer sound performance,
John Bischoff creates immersive, spontaneous compositions that blend algorithmic structures with real-time sonic transformations.
Prepare for an evening where improvisation meets innovation--unexpected, raw, and absolutely alive.
Don't miss it!
(End of ChatGPT's excited announcement.)
COVID still hasn't gone away, so we have to make some accommodations to it. Seating will be strictly limited -- we may have to turn you away if we fill our (reduced) capacity. You must be vaccinated against COVID, and you must wear a mask while on the premises. We won't have any snacks, because it seems to me like that's incompatible with masking.
