Bay Area Improviser's Network was created to provide a forum for Experimental, Improvised, Noise, Electronic, Free-Jazz, Avant Garde, Modern Composition, and Other Forms of Contemporary Sound in the San Francisco Bay Area. At this site, you can find musician's biographical information, upcoming concert info, reviews, links to other sites, and more.

The major goals of the site are to:

• Provide a calendar of events
• Provide Artist and Venue information
• Provide tools for fans of the music, such as a weekly newsletter and event reminders

Q: How are the artist photos in the home page slider selected?
A: Approximately 8 photos of artists playing at upcoming events are selected as well as approximately 8 additional photos from among all artists on the site. Each time the page is visited, a new random selection is made. So eventually everyone's picture will be displayed.

Q: Why isn't there an Android app?
A: We may develop one in the future, but in the mean time, the site works really well in the Android browser. So please open your native Android or Chrome browser and go to bayimproviser.com. Also, you can put a book mark on your phone's home page by following the instructions here. The site also works well on iPhones, iPads and pretty much any device with a reasonable amount of screen real estate and a modern browser.

Q: How can I add a BayImproviser bookmark to my home page on my iPhone?
A: Open the Safari browser. Enter bayimproviser.com into the browser address. At the bottom of the screen there is a rectangle with an arrow pointing up. Press this, then press Add to Home Screen. For the name, use BayImproviser. Then click on Add.

Q: How can I submit an event?
A: Go to the Calendar page. There will be a link "Submit event". If you are booking a regular series at a venue that is not listed on the site, please contact us and we will create the Venue page and give you permission to edit it.
