Gustavo Lorenzatti: Double Bass Dreams

Gustavo Lorenzatti is a composer who plays both double bass and cello player from
(Córdoba) Argentina. He is known for his original way of approaching the instruments, exploring all of the possible elements (bow, pizzicato, percussion, different tunings, etc.) and adding voice for a uniquely layered sound.

Classically trained in The Netherlands, he is an official member of Cordoba’s symphony
orchestra, influenced by classical music, jazz, tango and Brazilian music; he collaborates
with artists such as Egberto Gismonti, Osbaldo Pugliese, Martha Argerich, Michael Moore, and Lalo Schifrin. He toured around several countries including Japan, Australia, Europe, South America and Mexico.
